More than 80 Big Read events have been scheduled so far with many more planned to occur between February 18 and May 5. The project will end with an outdoor Cinco de Mayo celebration and the drawing for the car, again at Bob Moore Nissan in Norman.

“The purpose of The Big Read is to create excitement about reading and to stimulate discussion about books, particularly Bless Me, Ultima,” says Anne Harris of the Pioneer Library System and one of the local organizers of The Big Read.

“We think The Bless Me, Ultima Ultimate Altima Give-Away will certainly create both excitement and discussion. We are so grateful for the involvement of Ricky Stapleton (General Sales Manager for Bob Moore Nissan) and the support of Bob Moore Auto Group, El Chico of Norman, and all the local sponsors who are helping us bring The Big Read to central Oklahoma for the second time,” Harris says.
